Under 1. º Cycle of Conferences "Luso-Italian relations in the XV-XVIII centuries: results and new lines of research in to the celebration of 150 years of Unity ' Italy " , the project resulted from collaboration between the Embassy of Italy, the Italian Institute de Cultura de Lisboa, the Society of Geography of Lisbon, Centro de História de Além-Mar, Centro Científico and Cultural de Macau.

In order to achieve a balance of the latest research and, simultaneously, open the way for new approaches and interpretations, these meetings wishing to know the nature of the Italian community in Lisbon and how economic networks would promote cultural contacts .
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy is interesting to note that the existence of an Italian nation Portugal excluded from conflict at home, foreshadows what will become many years later united Italy.

Under 1. Cylce Conference "Luso-Italian relations in the XV-XVIII centuries: review and new lines research in the celebration of 150 years of the Union of Italy " , project developed under the collaboration between Lisbona Ambasciata d'Italia, the Italian Institute of Culture in Lisbon, the Lisbon Geographical Society, History Center of Overseas, Scientific and Cultural Centre of Macau, IP

In order to take stock of recent investigations and simultaneously opening new avenues for interpretation and approach, these meetings will perceive the nature of the Italian community in London and how economic networks woven corporatised the cultural contacts.
In order to celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the Unity of Italy in 2011, it is interesting to note that the existence of an Italian nation in Portugal, free of conflicts patriotic and confrontation foreshadowed what would be many years after the united Italy.
